Will it damage our floors?

The adhesive is designed to hold firmly during use but lift cleanly when needed. To remove, simply loosen the edge of the adhesive tape and peel back carefully. The strip can be reset 1–2 times before needing replacement. Need replacement strips? Contact us and we'll get them out to you.

How long does installation take?

Under 10 minutes per room. One maintenance team member, no specialist skills, no tools required. Turn the bed wheels to maximum position, place the units, peel and press. The room stays operational — there's no drying time and no cure period.

What if we have different bed sizes or layouts across our facility?

Accepted Answer

BedStop Pro covers three configurations — Full Corner, Fixed Headboard, and Standard Room — so virtually every layout is covered. If bed sizes change or beds are swapped between rooms, simply check that the BedStops are still correctly positioned relative to the new bed's wheels. If not, peel up the BedStops and refit them into the correct position. It takes just a few minutes and no tools are needed.

Does it work with all standard hospital beds?

Yes. BedStop Pro is compatible with all standard single hospital beds used across NZ and Australian healthcare facilities, including hi-lo electric beds, manual beds, and bariatric models. If you have an unusual bed configuration, contact us and we'll confirm fit before you order.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No minimum order. You can start with a single room, a single ward, or roll out across an entire facility. For orders of 10 rooms or more, volume pricing applies — contact us for a site-specific quote.

How quickly will we see a return on investment?

Accepted Answer

Most facilities recover the full product cost within 2 months. A single repair incident — factoring in maintenance labour, materials, cleaning, nursing time, and lost bed revenue — costs approximately $679 per room. BedStop Pro Full Corner configuration is $347 +GST. One avoided repair cycle pays for it.

What happens if a resident or staff member trips on it?

When installed correctly, BedStop Pro presents no trip hazard. Units are positioned at floor level alongside and behind the bed frame — entirely outside staff and resident movement zones. The bed itself acts as a physical barrier, meaning BedStops are not visible or accessible during normal room operations. Risk is eliminated by design through correct positioning rather than managed through mitigation. The only time a BedStop is exposed is when a bed is temporarily relocated for cleaning or maintenance — at which point standard room clearance and manual handling protocols are already in effect. Is it infection control compliant?

Yes. The EPDM rubber surface is non-porous, wipe-clean, and resistant to the commercial cleaning chemicals and disinfectants used in healthcare environments. There are no crevices or joints that harbour bacteria. It won't degrade, discolour, or require replacement from cleaning.

What if the wall is already damaged — do we need to repair it first?

No. BedStop Pro installs at floor level and is designed to prevent beds from making contact with walls. Existing wall damage can be repaired at your normal maintenance schedule — BedStop Pro is designed to dramatically reduce new wall damage when correctly installed. As with any floor-level product, correct positioning is key to performance. Our installation guide ensures every unit is placed to specification, giving you the best possible protection.

How do Corner Guards attach to the wall?

Adhesive-mounted along the full length of the guard — no drilling, no wall fixings, no specialist installation. Apply No More Nails or equivalent adhesive in a zig-zag pattern to the back of the guard and press firmly against the corner. Hold until set. For a high-end finish, gap and paint the join where the guard meets the wall — a simple technique that blends the guard seamlessly into the wall surface. One cartridge covers approximately 20 linear metres.

Can they be cut to fit non-standard heights?

Yes. Corner Guards can be cut to any length on-site using a standard handsaw — no specialist tools required. Your maintenance team can size them to fit during installation, which is particularly useful where ceiling heights vary or partial coverage is all that's needed.

Can Corner Guards be painted to match our walls?

Accepted Answer

Yes — and that's exactly how most clients use them. Before painting, gap and paint the join where the guard meets the wall — this simple technique blends the edges seamlessly into the surrounding surface so the guard looks intentional rather than applied. Apply a good quality paint primer or surface sealer first, allow to dry, then topcoat with standard wall paint to match your existing colour. Once painted and gapped, they disappear into the environment completely. Most clients touch them up as part of their normal decorating cycle.

What damage do Corner Guards protect against?

Corner Guards protect exposed wall corners from the daily impacts that cause the most expensive damage in care facilities: hospital bed movement, trolley and cart impact, walker and wheelchair contact, medical equipment, and furniture removals. Any high-traffic area is a candidate — bedroom entry corners, corridor intersections, pillars, serveries, staff corridors, and communal spaces. In short, anywhere people, equipment, and furniture move through a facility on a daily basis.

Which length do I need — 1200mm or 2400mm?

Accepted Answer

2400mm gives full-height coverage and is the right choice for corridors, doorframe corners, and anywhere beds or trolleys make contact. 1200mm is suited to lower-impact zones — bedroom corners in areas with mainly walker and wheelchair traffic. If in doubt, go 2400mm. At $38.50 +GST it costs less than 10 minutes of a tradesperson's time.

Will Corner Guards withstand heavy trolley and bed impact?

Yes. The 2mm PVC construction is impact resistant, abrasion resistant, anti-corrosive, and rated fireproof. It's designed for repeated daily contact in high-traffic commercial environments — not occasional bumps.

Do Corner Guards require any maintenance?

Accepted Answer

None. The PVC surface won't degrade, discolour, or absorb moisture. Wipe clean with standard commercial cleaning products. If you've painted them to match your walls, touch up with the same paint as needed during your normal decorating cycle.
